An adorable little camera with a fun-to-say name just dominated its funding round on Kickstarter, amassing over $238,000 with 16 days to go.
We are referring to YoCam, which may just be your pocket camera of choice on some future expedition to some far-off place.
YoCam is small but isn't the least bit content to let its size dictate what it might offer. According to its website and Kickstarter campaign, there are a wealth of possibilities under the hood.
Looking like some miniature version of EVE from "WALL-E." YoCam is a waterproof camera that features stabilization technology, myriad mounting possibilities and the ability to stay connected with those at home via its mobile app.
Here is a brief video that explains the wide swath of goodies that come with YoCam:
Space is a premium when traveling. It's a mind-boggling wonder how we used to archive our experiences on clunky, over-sized VHS cameras.
Thankfully, the race to get smaller is in full swing with devices like GoPro leading the pack.
But smaller may just be better. Now we have yet to try out YoCam ourselves, so we can't attest to how its functions and versatile selection of mounts compares to something like a GoPro.
However, the video and specs look promising for a device that promises wonders in the palm of your hand.
There are still a number of ways to get your hands on a YoCam via Kickstarter, including the Early Bird donation, which is $149 and comes with a camera, clip mount, pendant cord and USB cable (ships March 2016).
Before that time, you can see a bit more of the camera in action, including videos that tout its stabilization capability and the ease with which you can share memories with friends.
Now remember, just because it's cute doesn't mean YoCam isn't a heavy hitter when it comes to portable camera technology.
