TravelClick, a global provider of cloud-based solutions for the hotel industry, announced on Monday that it has expanded its partnership with TripAdvisor to allow independent hotels to collect bookings through the major travel site.
TravelClick is now a certified TripConnect Premium Partner. Via TripConnect instant booking, TravelClick’s iHotelier Web 3.0 booking engine customers will be able to generate bookings directly from their property page on TripAdvisor, paying a commission once a guest has completed their stay.
TripConnect booking is designed to make for a seamless hotel booking experience without leaving the TripAdvisor site. Reservations will be delivered to TravelClick customers via TravelClick’s iHotelier central reservation system (CRS).
“TravelClick helps hoteliers generate more revenue by providing access to customer demand through our unique partnerships,” said Scott Koehler, senior vice president of Product & Operations for TravelClick, via a release. “Expanding our relationship with TripAdvisor will provide more opportunities for hotels to drive direct bookings from TripConnect instant booking.”
“TripConnect instant booking is a major focus for us because it provides hoteliers with the ability to both market and generate direct bookings for their property directly through TripAdvisor,” added Maud Larpent, director of direct connect development for TripAdvisor. “We're pleased to be collaborating with TravelClick to make this product available to those hoteliers around the world who rely on TravelClick to manage their demand strategy to drive revenue.”
TripAdvisor calls itself the world’s largest travel site. It boasts 340 million unique monthly visitors, featuring more than 225 million reviews covering more than 4.9 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.
TravelClick, established in 1999, has more than 38,000 hotel clients in more than 160 countries.
