TravelClick, a cloud-based solutions company that helps worldwide hotels boost revenue, announced a partnership with Google today that allows Google Hotel Ads customers in the U.S. to use Google Wallet for “one-click” mobile bookings.
TravelClick’s new partnership with Google is designed to drive more demand and increase web traffic and bookings for hoteliers. Google Wallet, Google’s online payment system that allows customers to store their means of payment in one place, is a natural fit in a mobile world.
“TravelClick helps many hoteliers generate more revenue by providing access to customer demand through our unique partnership,” said Jason Ewell, executive vice president of global product at TravelClick, via a release. “Expanding our relationship with Google will provide more opportunities for hotels to drive direct bookings from Google Hotel Ads.”
TravelClick already had a relationship with Google before the announcement today. The New York-headquartered company has partnered with Google to allow placement on Google Hotel Ads via Google Hotel Finder, Local Universal Search, Google Maps and Google+ Places pages for its TravelClick Demand Services customers.
TravelClick’s Demand Services Program helps increase direct bookings by driving guests to the hotel’s official website via leading metasearch engines such as Google, Kayak, TripAdvisor and Trivago.
As a cloud-based solutions company, TravelClick is characteristically designed for the digital world. The company claims to be the only hotel data provider that provides forward-looking booking data based on actual reservations on the books for major hotel chains. This vast collection of information allows TravelClick to make observations on the industry. Recently, TravelClick pinpointed Boston’s hospitality industry as a leader among industries that are regularly situated in brutal winter weather.
TravelClick currently serves more than 38,000 hotel clients in over 60 countries.
