It's not even Thanksgiving, but Uber is already in the holiday spirit.
The ride-hailing service recently announced that it will give away free rides from select airports this holiday season for American Express card members.
Travelers who enter the promo code "AMEXAIRPORT" in the Uber app prior to requesting a ride and then use an American Express card for payment will receive up to two free rides of up to $65 each.
Eleven airports qualify for the promotion, including New York's Big Three. Travelers arriving for a holiday stay in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Seattle and Washington, D.C. can also take advantage.

The complete list of eligible airports includes LaGuardia Airport; John F. Kennedy International Airport; Newark Liberty International Airport; Chicago O'Hare International Airport; Chicago Midway International Airport; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport; Boston Logan International Airport; McCarran International Airport; George Bush Intercontinental Airport; Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The free rides are only good for trips from the aforementioned airports, though, so travelers will have to pay for a ride back to the airport.
Nonetheless, the promotion runs through Dec. 31, 2016, so travelers will have the option to use their free rides for upcoming Thanksgiving travel, save them for a Christmas trip or both.
