Uber is giving its riders the power of time.

The ride-sharing app announced this week that it was giving one tremendous gift to anyone taking its uberPOOL service.

Essentially, you will now have some idea as to when you will arrive at your destination. And if you’re later than that, the app will gift you $2 to go towards your very next ride. Consider it a monetary good luck charm that will help you actually get to your meeting on time the following ride.

The following video illustrates the new innovation.

For the moment, this itinerary super charge is available in the Los Angeles area only with a wider rollout promised after that.

And it’s for uberPOOL service, which is typically the kind of offering that could really use some semblance of punctuality.

Anyone who has ever taken uberPOOL knows that you may very well pick up additional passengers along the way to your destination.
