TripAdvisor's Viator has launched a booking platform created specifically for agents.
Agents can book directly through Viator, an online distribution platform, giving them access to more than 70,000 commissionable tours and attractions including TripAdvisor and Viator's VIP, Exclusive and Skip the Line products.
Both host agencies and independent agents can register on the Travel Agent Program or TAP. There are no fees or restrictions to book. Commissions are paid directly by Viator.
"While most platforms cater to the end-user or traveler, we've designed TAP specifically for travel agents and their businesses," said Ben Drew, head of growth for Viator. "For the first time, agents will have direct access to the world's largest collection of attractions and tours, and we're working to make their booking experience seamless.
"We'll collect and incorporate feedback from early adopters as we continue to evolve the program and ultimately, help agents around the world grow their businesses."
Drew said TAP offers competitive commission rates. It caters to a global travel agent audience allowing for multiple currencies as well as monthly reporting for performance analysis.

Agents also will have access to a resource center offering tips and content including training, product knowledge development and destination guides.
Acquired by TripAdvisor in 2014, Viator partners with tour operators, attractions and activity providers to sell products via viator.com plus 3,500 affiliate partner channels and 175,000 online agents.
