Collette Vacations released its new collection of garden tours created in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the British gardening charity. This is the first brochure of the company’s special interest line. The new product line is a selection of horticultural-themed travel packages to a number of countries. It targets anyone who loves gardens and includes visits to exclusive gardens, private or expert tours of exceptional public and botanical gardens, and opportunities to see plants in their natural habitats.
“By bringing together our own horticultural expertise with the travel knowledge of Collette Vacations, we have been able to create a selection of really inspiring tours,” said Sue Biggs, director general of RHS. “With these tours, we are opening up a world of gardens, enabling gardening fans of all abilities to take their interest to a new level by exploring the world around us in the company of likeminded travelers.”
The brochure contains 11 tours, with departures starting as early as May. Each tour is accompanied a Collette tour manager, with local guides brought in at various destinations. The tours are set in the U.S., the U.K., France, Portugal, Italy, New Zealand and South Africa. Prices range from $1,899 for the seven-day Eternal Gardens of Rome to $4,999 for New Zealand’s 19-day Garden Route featuring the North and South Islands. With all bookings, clients receive a free, one-year membership to the RHS. Existing members will have their membership renewed on a complimentary basis.
