Delta Vacations, the official vacation provider of Delta Air Lines, has announced the addition of new culinary experiences and walking tour options for customers when they book travel packages to Italy.
According to the official Delta Vacations website, when customers book trips to Rome or Florence, they will be eligible to add Italian cooking lessons taught by professional chefs to their itineraries. Included in these classes are chef-led visits to local markets to select fresh ingredients for a three-course meal.
For those who are more intrigued by the walking tour options, Delta Vacations now offers journeys through the Borghese Gallery and Garden, the Trastevere neighborhood and full-day tours of Naples and Pompeii.
Not only will the success of the new programs in Italy help Delta Vacations plan additional tours and activities in the country, but it will also make it easier to begin similar programs at popular destinations like France, Spain and other European tourist hotspots.
When asked about the new tours and activities, Delta Vacations president John Caldwell released a statement, saying, "There is growing demand for quality, small group experiences in Italy and across Europe. We want to make shopping with us even more convenient for our customers by adding unique and exciting activities like these that can be bundled with hotel stays and flights aboard Delta and its strategic partners Air France, Alitalia and KLM, for added value."
