Pacific Delight Tours Highlights Gold Experience Luxury Line

Pacific Delight Tours is promoting its Gold Experience luxury line of tours emphasizing their service and value, according to Larry Kwan, president of Pacific Delight, and is challenging retailers to "look at what's included when comparing our programs with others. Our prices may be comparable, but once you factor in everything else you realize there really is no comparison to Pacific Delight. Our programs represent the finest and most exclusive throughout all of Asia, but our China product is particularly appealing due to our vast expertise and purchasing power in the region."

Pacific Delight's 12-day Imperial China & Yangtze River Gold Experience, for example, includes FiveStarPlus accommodations in Beijing, Xi'an, Chongqing and Shanghai. And thanks to Pacific Delight's relationships, guests receive preferential hotel placement and VIP treatment at luxury brands such as Shangri-La, Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott.

On the Yangtze River, Pacific Delight has been using Victoria Cruises for 18 years and was among the first operators to feature the five-star fleet's Executive Suites, which are now standard on all Gold Experience itineraries incorporating the river. Furthermore, guests of Pacific Delight's travel agent partners receive VIP privileges on the Yangtze with "white glove" concierge service, enhanced ship placement, access to exclusive areas, à la carte meal service, private cultural lessons and reserved seating for evening entertainment.

Highlights of the program include the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, as well as the Terra Cotta Warriors of Xian, the Chongqing Zoo and Shanghai's famous waterfront promenade, The Bund. A relaxing Victoria Cruises sailing through the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is also included with excursions such as the tranquil Daning and Ma Du River tributaries and Ghost City of Fengdu. Rates start at $3,099 per person, based on double occupancy in 2012. This does not include international airfare which is available at competitive pricing from all major gateways, however, intra-China airfare is included in the base rate along with most meals, baggage handling, port charges, hotel taxes and service fees.

Pacific Delight Tours is a member of the U.S. Tour Operators Association and has been operating tours to China and Asia for 40 years. For more information, call 800-221-7179 or visit
