What SeaWorld Has Planned for the Future

As many people already know, SeaWorld recently announced plans to end its orca breeding program. While some park visitors were disappointed to hear that the popular feature will be discontinued, there will still be plenty of other fun and interesting things to do and see at SeaWorld.

The park has given details about a variety of new and expanded attractions it will offer for guests to enjoy. There are lots of exciting things on the horizon, and the future seems to be packed with big plans.

Here are a few of the things SeaWorld has in the works for the near future:

Natural orca interactions. Although the orca breeding program is ending, there will still be opportunities to observe the killer whales. The current orca occupants at SeaWorld will continue to reside there for the rest of their lives. Rather than performing in a show atmosphere, they will be in a more natural environment. Pursuing their focus on orca research and nurturing, the park will be home to orcas who are living in natural type of surroundings—where park visitors will be able to observe them as they go about their normal daily activities.

Humane Society partnership. SeaWorld has formed a partnership with the Humane Society of the United States, with the goal of working together to focus on promoting oceanic health and protecting the well-being of sea life and the animals who live underwater. The two entities will collaborate to pursue a number of goals in that area, including establishing and maintaining healthy oceans, marine mammal protection, and supporting efforts related to sustainable seafood.

In addition, the park will continue, as always, to develop innovative and unique rides, attractions and experiences for guests of all ages to enjoy at all of the SeaWorld locations.
