Nexion will host its CoNexion 2012 conference at the Hyatt Regency-Dallas at Reunion Tower, Oct. 4 to 6. The theme for the conference is “Fire Up Your Future.” The annual conference will offer Nexion agents Texas-themed events, networking and educational events.

The three-day conference will open with featured keynote speaker Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales, trade support and services for Royal Caribbean International. Special guest motivational speaker Michael Hoffman, CSP, will present his comedic and interactive approach on the final night. Thirty-two other speakers, including Nexion President Jackie Friedman, Nexion staff members and other noted travel industry professionals, will provide their expertise through more than 30 workshops.

According to Nexion agents, one of the most highly valued benefits from attending CoNexion is the supplier roundtables. Agents will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with top cruise, tour and air providers. More than 80 industry suppliers will be on hand for Friday’s trade show, which follows an executive panel comprised of seven of the industry’s top cruise line and tour operators.

            Because CoNexion is taking place in Dallas this year, Nexion’s Irving, Texas-based staff will be on hand for “Nexion Roundup,” a Western-themed staff “meet and greet” on Thursday evening. Other entertainment will include a “Nexion Idol” singing contest, a star-studded “Nexion Stars in Texas” gala featuring cuisine from Wolfgang Puck, and Texas two-step and line-dancing lessons.

Pre-conference fam trips are scheduled for Oct. 2 to 3. Agents can participate in a “Dallas Highlights” tour and “Arts District Walking Tour and Lunch” and experience the Texas State Fair. A fourth fam trip, a tour of Fort Worth, is scheduled for the final evening of the conference.

CoNexion 2012 attendees can take advantage of a 5 percent discount when flying American Airlines to Dallas. In addition, attendees booking before Aug. 31 can take advantage of Nexion’s discounted hotel room block rate at the Hyatt Regency. All meals will be included throughout the event as part of the registration fee.
