Norwegian Cruise Line is launching a new national trade advertising campaign that will star travel agents. The campaign, part of the line’s “Partners First” program, will launch this summer. The advertisements will be featured in national trade publications and digital advertising.

“Agents who participate will receive their own custom ad that can be utilized on their social media sites, online, or in their offices,” said Andy Stuart, Norwegian’s executive vice president of global sales and passenger services. “Some agents will be selected as featured partners in our new national trade ad campaign.”

Norwegian hosts a variety of events where agents can participate in sales and marketing training sessions and take ship tours. Partners who attend a “Let’s Do Lunch” program can purchase a $250 “Welcome Back Rewards” certificate that can be used as a deposit on a cruise. Those who purchase a reward will also receive a non-refundable $75 onboard credit to use during their cruise.

NCL Welcome Back Rewards (WBR) - if you are travel agent planning to use these rewards to market to your clients beware that NCL does not make easy to transfer the rewards to client. The purchase and transfer process is very cumbersome and most NCL booking and marketing staff does not know how to get proper credit. The WBR is ONLY for NEW booking and any past booking, it is not valid. Also, the $75 rewards are ONLY for on board purchases and cannot use to reduce next sail price or to pay on board tips. Once you purchase the WBR and transfer to the client, the $250 is use or loss it in case of cancellation.
