OASIS Reports 186 Percent Sales Growth in 2011

February 15, 2012 10:40 PM

Outside Agents Sales Integration System (OASIS) reported that its sales grew by 186 percent last year and that its agent growth was 106 percent. OASIS said some of its growth is due to the overall growth of the tourism industry, pointing to the latest U.S. Department of Commerce statistics that show the travel industry’s growth continues to outpace all other sectors of the economy.

At the same time, many travel agents are moving from brick-and-mortar agencies to home-based. OASIS said it supports these agents with business development, purchasing clout and education. It also provides access to Signature Travel Network’s Intranet, with a hotel and cruise booking engine and many value-added features that Signature has negotiated with hotels and cruise lines. This gives agents tremendous product diversity in both land and cruise offerings and offers them the benefit of volume purchasing power.

“We attribute this growth to our unique business model, which allows agents to join OASIS with no initiation fee and receive 100 percent commission on all transactions,” said Kelly Bergin, vice president of business development for OASIS. The group charges a monthly fee of $29 for the basic plan, and processing fees that range from $2 to $29, depending upon the supplier commission.
