On behalf of the Air Canada family, Duncan Bureau, the airline’s vice president, global sales, wished travel agents and travel trade partners a Happy Diwali in one of his latest blog posts.
On the occasion of this annual autumn Hindu festival of lights, Bureau highlighted the carrier’s multiple Canada/India routes — the recently-launched Vancouver-Delhi flight as well as daily Toronto-Delhi flights. A Toronto-Mumbai route will commence in 2017.
Bureau mentioned that fliers can “minimize their travel time and maximize their time at their destination” with the Vancouver-Delhi route, which offers the shortest elapsed travel time from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles to India.

As a bonus, the Vancouver-Delhi and Toronto-Delhi routes will feature contemporary Indian culinary offerings from revered Vancouver chef Vikram Vij in all cabins of service.
Bureau emphasized the importance of Air Canada weaving together global connections as the Great White North’s flag carrier, stating, “we hope to connect not just Canadians globally but also show our mutual customers across the globe the comforts of Air Canada.”
