Seabourn, the luxury cruise line, on June 10 showcased its partnership with its new consulting chef, Thomas Keller, at a press event in New York City at Keller's Per Se restaurant in the Time Warner Center. Seabourn has been in talks with Keller for the past four years after the cruise line ended its partnership with another famed chef, Charlie Palmer of L’Aureole.

Keller, a Michelin-starred chef, through his Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, also owns The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery and Bouchon Bistro in Yountville, Calif.; Bouchon Bakery & Café and Bouchon Bakery in New York; Bouchon Bakery and Bouchon Bistro in Las Vegas; and Bouchon Bistro, Bar Bouchon and Bouchon Bakery in Beverly Hills, Calif. He is scheduled to open another restaurant in New York in the new Hudson Yards development, set for completion in 2018.

Keller will begin offering onboard menus for Seabourn's restaurants this November, and then will open a dedicated restaurant aboard Seabourn Quest next April. He will also be featured at signature restaurants on the new Seabourn Encore, set to debut in December, and Seabourn Ovation, which will be christened in spring 2018.

Famed designer Adam D. Tihany will do the interior design for both ships, including Keller’s new onboard restaurants. There will no charge for guests to experience Keller's cuisine.

Keller, Tihany, Carnival Corp. Chairman Micky Arison, Carnival Corp. President and CEO Arnold Donald, and Seabourn President Richard Meadows, attended the June 10 showcase, among others. Below are some photos from the event, plus a tour of Per Se kitchen from Chef Keller himself.
