The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism has given much praise to Ultimate Tours Bahamas' Tingum Tour in a recent blog post.

The half-day tour explores some under-the-radar points of interest on the island of Nassau - a bush tea facility and Bonefish Pond National Park, along with a tour of historic driving tour of the island's major city.

First stop is a tasting at Tasty Teas, a company that makes bush teas - a vital, medicinal part of local culture. On the way to Bonefish, there are stops at such historical locales as the Woodes Rogers statue in front of the British Colonial Hotel, the Royal Bank of Canada (one of the first banks in the Bahamas) and Fort Fincastle.

Upon arrival at the beautiful, serene Bonefish Pond National Park, the silence is striking, only broken by the group trying their hand at "rake n' scrape," a local music style utilizing unique instruments. A kayak excursion follows among the mangroves - a tricky but fun experience for novices.
