The number of animals that call Busch Gardens Tampa Bay home is north of a thousand, and while some keep their distance, others can get up close and personal with guests. Here are some favorite opportunities:

    Jambo Junction

This area contains such wildlife as sloths, flamingos, snakes and echidnas. Zookeepers share facts and lore about the animals while facilitating close encounters.

    Cheetah Run

The world’s fastest land animal is given the chance to show its capabilities by a “lure run, where guests are able to see a cheetah reach optimum speeds,” according to Busch Gardens.

    Lory Landing

A bird-centric area, lorikeets, hornbills, pheasants and more mingle with visitors. The avian creatures can be fed and pose for complimentary photos.

    Walkabout Way

Kangaroos are king here, and Kangaloom is “one of our most beloved interactions,” Busch Gardens said.

    Serengeti Safari

A classic open-air vehicle safari experience through the park’s 65-acre plain will bring guests close to giraffes, zebras, ostriches and many other animals.
