The New York Times published a fantastic article this week in honor of the hit comedy show "Seinfeld" making its debut on the streaming service Hulu.  They went around the city of New York and found almost all of the places you would want to make a pilgrimage to as a die-hard Seinfeld fan. The funny part of course being that it was filmed in Los Angeles.  "Seinfeld" always brought us the best and the worst of New York City eateries throughout the nine seasons the sitcom ran.

If you are looking for Monk’s Diner, which is probably the most pilgrimaged-to location, you’ll actually go to a place named Tom’s Restaurant at 2880 Broadway.  The food is different than what was served on the show and the layout of the restaurant is considerably different as they only used exterior shots for the diner.

Another famous spot is The Soup Nazi.  This is actually based on a real guy who owns the Original Soup Man at 259A West 55th Street.  The owner hardly ever works there anymore as he has too many locations to deal with including a food truck and a retail grocery product.  Funny, this was the same guy who was originally offended by the moniker.

If you are really looking deep, you can follow the article for a full tour all the way down to the Grays Papaya Hotdog Shop that Kramer used to get his fix at.  Needless to say, if you are looking for the all the yada, yada, yada, just hit up the article and get your fix of Seinfeld on Hulu.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
