Coming this Fourth of July weekend are new family offerings at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. The property is an ideal place to call home over the holiday weekend. It is just steps from the Santa Monica Pier and walking distance to local attractions, and new family amenities will make Loews even more fun for kids and parents alike this summer.

The fun begins right away with a new family welcome amenity – popcorn and cotton candy and other treats are ready and waiting upon check-in.

A family concierge for guests booked into premium room categories and above are now on hand to create customized experiences like booking a sport utility vehicle complete with driver, snacks, sunscreen and beach toys, so that families can navigate L.A.’s crowded streets in style. Family concierges can also book VIP tours and theme park experiences, provide a personal guide for the La Brea Tar Pits or the Natural History Museum, get reservations for the just-opened Jessica Biel-owned family restaurant Au Fudge, or book tickets to “The Voice.”

On Fourth of July weekend, the hotel is also rolling out its new pampering program on its recently redesigned pool deck offering panoramic views of the ocean. Parents will enjoy soaking up the sunshine with chilled towels, smoothies, frozen grapes and more, and kids can gobble up frozen treats from the Beach Barn ice cream cart as well as play in the dedicated kid-zone that lends pool and beach toys.

On weekends, families can enjoy a special California grill and watching the sunset while making s’mores by one of the newly installed firepits.

In addition to ramping up family programming, the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel has been making upgrades. All of the guestrooms and suites have been redesigned, bringing the outdoors in with colors and patterns of the ocean and sand, white shutters and a modern bungalow feel. In addition to the communal firepits, the hotel recently added firepits to the private outdoor terraces of 35 rooms and suites, and guests can now enjoy a sunset dinner ordered from on-site restaurant Ocean & Vine while admiring the lights of the Santa Monica Pier.
