Are ‘ya ready kids?! Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana is now open!

The first ever international Nickelodeon Resort opened its doors on June 11 and is backed by the signature Karisma Gourmet Inclusive Experience. What’s even better, is that whether you’re a kid, parent, or just a couple of adults craving a Caribbean vacation, this is the spot for you.

From the moment you walk in, everything feels right. Modern structures mix with bright wallpapers and just the right amount of Nick-inspired decor, signifying that playtime has officially begun. Suites are luxurious and comfortable, with fun nods to classic Nick elements like the blimp, pineapples and perhaps even some SquarePants. Plus, each room comes fully equipped with Smart TVs, complimentary mini bars and a personal concierge on speed-dial.

After you’ve jumped on the bed and unpacked your things, venture out and explore the lush landscaping (don’t miss the topiaries all over), infinity pools, swim-up bars, and miles of golden sandy beaches. Pro tip: Ask your concierge to reserve you a beach bali bed ahead of time – it’s well worth it!

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, know that you have plenty of options. Both the Lighthouse and Zest are located on the beach, and serve lunch daily. Zest is also home to weekly character dining experiences with the folks from SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol, and the Fairly OddParents. Fresco is tucked away nearby, and serves fresh Slime smoothies, flatbreads & other light fare.

Over at the Gourmet Village, the fun really starts. Take your pick from coffee or juices at Doppio, Caribbean fare at Sugarcane, Asian dishes at Wok Wok, Italian fare at Verdello, interstellar items at Spacewalker, a molecular experience at Kitchen 23, and the self-explanatory BURGERS.PH (order the Machete Burger and you’re in for a treat). Then hit up Vino Vino for a nightcap, craft cocktails and live entertainment each night.

What about the Nickelodeon elements you ask? Once you step into Nick Place, prepare to be wowed. The impressive space will transport you to a playful, fun and even nostalgic (in the best way possible) land that encompasses most of the Nickelodeon elements at the resort. Spaces include Just Kiddin’ Playhouse, a kids club your children will never want to leave; Character Central, a hub for characters to meet & greet guests, Plaza Orange, a theatre that provides daily and nightly entertainment for the whole family; Sports Hub, an activities area complete with archery, soccer and life-size chess; Aqua Nick, a water playground designed for kids that’s fully equipped with slides and a lazy river; and finally, Aqua Bite, because all that playtime can work up quite an appetite. Pro-tip: For all the parents and millennials visiting, don’t overlook the giant nose and glasses paying homage to Double Dare!

Special rates are available now, and kids under 12 are included. As if that wasn’t enough, Karisma Hotels is also set to open the next international Nickelodeon Resort in 2018 in Riviera Maya Mexico, next to its family friendly Generations Riviera Maya Resort. Stay tuned to for full details on Punta Cana and future updates with new resorts.
