Just like at Sirenis Punta Cana, Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya is not only fun for families, but for adults seeking a relaxing vacation as well.

As a young adult in her mid-20s having had the opportunity to visit Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya for work, I can say firsthand, that this is a resort that vacation dreams are made of. It’s safe to assume that the priorities of people vacationing without kids include an endless flow of cocktails, a nice beach to relax by, intriguing activities and good food. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya has all of that and more!

To start, let’s reiterate the all-inclusive deal, where your nightly hotel rate plus food and drinks are included, with sale rates sometimes dipping under $100 per person per night, depending on the time of year. The resort buffet has a vast array of culinary options for breakfast lunch and dinner, with different decorative themes each night for guests to enjoy if they are not dining at one of the seven a la carte restaurants.

After visiting the Mimosa/Bloody Mary stand at the breakfast buffet, guests can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach, catching some rays and taking in the beauty of the turquoise waters that surround the onsite ancient Mayan ruin.

The endless rows of lounge chairs and palapa umbrellas by the pools and beach do not have to be reserved and are part of the package! Tiki bars are set up at both ends of the beach, providing easy access to cocktails and snacks, while swim-up bars are located in each of the two main pools!

Let’s face it, there are few things as refreshing as a frozen margarita on a Mexican beach. There is also a quiet pool for those looking to avoid the pool games and daily entertainment performed by the animation team. For further relaxation, a ride down a lazy river, which winds through the property, is always recommended.

Each night around 8 p.m., there is a musical performance hosted in the open-air theater right next to the main lobby such as “Chicago,” “The Lion King,” and other crowd favorites. After the shows, most guests proceed to the main lobby, to hang out by the bar, sip on a nightcap or two (free shots!) and watch or even participate in the animation team’s entertainment such as karaoke or other games.

The ambiance is genuinely fun and a great way to make friends with fellow guests from around the world. For those who want to keep the party going at the end of the night, there is also an on property nightclub, or “disco” for adults to enjoy. It is also worth noting that the accommodation is located a short half hour drive from Playa del Carmen, should guests want to venture out and experience the local nightlife!

Guests interested in learning about their surroundings can explore the nature park, EcoSirenis, which boasts breathtaking trails for guided bike and hiking tours. The park is also home to the Vivero conservation nursery, protecting over 22 different species of flora and fauna, and is dedicated to the preservation of the at-risk species in the area.

The Mayan Dinner allows guests to further experience the combination of local culture and environmental impact activities, as well as the overall ambiance at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya.

The weekly event begins with an evening walk through the Vivero nursery, which is illuminated by Tiki torches as a narration of the Mayan history is played. Meanwhile, performers, act out the different ancient ritual chants and dances throughout the trail as guests walk through.

After this, guests are brought to the dinner site and presented with a wide spread of Mayan cuisine and an array of various delicacies. The entertainment continues with Mayan rituals performed as guests taste test everything that catches their eye at this exotic buffet. It is truly an awe-inspiring experience!

Spa Grand Sirenis has an amazing water circuit that it is well known and has won actual awards, combined with a walk through of the various sauna’s and steam rooms, guests emerge feeling completely rejuvenated and serene. On top of all the amazing treatments offered, the spa also has a beauty salon and a gym for guests to enjoy.
