Sirenis Punta Cana: Not JUST Kid Fun

Sirenis Punta Cana: Not JUST Kid Fun

We all know that Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames is a great destination for families with children (See past blog, Kids Love Sirenis), but having just been back to visit, it was very clear that this resort is also ideal for adults looking to escape with friends for a tropical vacation, or a romantic getaway for two.

I think the magnitude of just how amazing all-inclusive resorts are gets lost somehow. You wake up in the morning and boom – free breakfast buffet equipped with a mimosa and Bloody Mary station. As a young adult with fond memories of family vacations that I took for granted, the idea of booking a trip for myself, where my total payment covers almost everything, is a big deal. Like a kid in an all-inclusive candy store, lounging in the sun amongst palm trees with a good book or trashy magazine and an endless flow of tropical cocktails, and refreshing cervezas, is reason enough for this adult to get excited.

Adult guests can often be seen passing by the popular lobby bar in the afternoon for a coffee or their first cocktail of the day, and later congregating for after dinner drinks until the wee hours of the morning. The friendly bartenders, delicious drinks (on the menu as well as those concocted by the talented bar- wizards based on whatever you’re craving), and the laid back atmosphere make this central lobby bar the perfect place for guests to hang out, meet new friends and enjoy the Caribbean ambiance. I strongly recommend trying the Sirenis Cocktail, the Coco Loco Punch, and, of course, the Dominican Republic’s signature drink: Mama Juana.

This potent Dominican treat is created by letting a tree bark and a variety of herbs soak in a mixture of honey and a medley of liquors that vary by preference, but usually include red wine, rum, whiskey, or other alternatives. With a taste similar to cinnamon flavored whiskey, like Fireball, Mama Juana can be sipped on the rocks, neat, or taken as a shot and is an overall crowd favorite.

During the day, guests can choose to relax among the palm trees by the breathtaking beach or on the nearby pool patio, both of which are fully equipped with an endless stock of lounge chairs and palapas.  This means there is no need to rush down early to secure a spot- there’s time to nurse any hangovers from the previous night before going out and starting all over again! With a buffet situated right on the patio, a swim up bar in the pool, a tiki bar by the beach, and the option to sign up for a beachfront massage, guests have everything they need for a full day of reading, napping, swimming and relaxing.

Evening entertainment varies each night but includes beach parties, live music by the lobby bar, and performances at the outdoor theater, such as plays, concerts, musicals, or Karaoke. Guests can also try their luck at the Sirenis Casino, which is open until 3 a.m. and features games like black jack, poker, Texas hold’em, and slot machines.

The onsite club, El Bonche, commonly referred to as a disco, is perfect for guests 18 and over to let loose and dance, with party music starting at 11 p.m. until 2 a.m. The DJ plays the perfect combination of local music, like bachata, as well as hit music world wide. There is a full bar, a spacious dance floor as well as lounge areas with tables and couches for those who need to let their feet rest.

When the party stops, guests can stop by the buffet for late night snacks, thanks to our 24 hour dining plan.

Should guests decide that they want to do something more exhilarating during their stay, aside from a visit to the onsite waterpark, Sirenis Aquagames, there are concierge and excursion stations set up throughout the resort where they can easily arrange a fun activity. The excursions range from horseback riding, to zip lining, dune buggies, or the ever popular day trip to the private Saona Island.

So, while we already know that Sirenis Punta Cana caters to families and is kid friendly, this is a reminder that it is also very much adult friendly. Regardless of age, Sirenis Hotels & Resorts offers all of its guests the perfect combination of exciting fun and blissful relaxation.
