Nov. 12, 2016 with see a number of swimmers in the turquoise waters of St. Lucia’s Cariblue Bay, participating in The BodyHoliday’s 1 Mile Swim.
British swimmer Keri-Anne Payne, two-time World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist, is on hand to prep participants with beach fitness classes and SwimFit, called “a leading bespoke open water swimming program,” by The BodyHoliday.
Starting at the north side of Cariblue Beach, swimmers will go out and back two times, taking an M-shaped path and finishing on the beach’s south side. The average finishing time is 45 minutes.
Minimum age is 16 years, and entry fees range from $60 for BodyHoliday guests to $120 for international participants. It’s free for SwimFit participants and there’s a discount for locals.
The prize is two free all-inclusive nights for the fastest male and female swimmers. Proceeds from the event will go to a local charity that teaches youngsters water safety and how to swim.
