Top 3 Reasons a Mediterranean Cruise Will Blow Your Mind!

Top 3 Reasons a Mediterranean Cruise Will Blow Your Mind!

So, you already know that the Mediterranean has some of the world’s most amazing landmarks. The combination of rich cultures and ancient history never ceases to amaze our clients. But did you know that there are so many hidden wonders in the Mediterranean that they keep cruisers coming back over and over again? It is the perfect summer destination, which is why I put together the three most mind-blowing reasons to cruise to the Mediterranean.

    It’s a Celebrity Magnet

Celebrities love the Mediterranean. Beyond the immersive experience the Med offers, famous people are just irresistibly drawn to its authentic Old World charm.

Back in the 1960s, Academy Award-winning, Italian film star Sophia Loren frequented the Mediterranean. Her love for the region has awarded her the title of honorary Godmother for the entire MSC fleet and there is even a lavish suite named after her on MSC Divina.

What’s even more fascinating about the Med is that your clients can visit some of those smaller, exotic places such as Marrakech, where celebrity soccer player David Beckham just celebrated his 40th birthday. Is that cool or what?

Even Hollywood’s golden girl, Elizabeth Taylor, fell in love with the Med back in the 1970s. I have to say though…famous British poet Lord Byron said it best: In the heart of the Mediterranean, he looked out toward the horizon and eloquently stated this place is “the most beautiful contact between the earth and the sea.” I couldn’t have said it any better.

Here are some of the MSC ships that I think visit the coolest destinations in the Mediterranean: MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia and MSC Musica are my favorites and their destinations include visits to Cannes, France, Olympia and Santorini, Greece, Kotor, Montenegro, and even Genoa, Italy.

    Unknown Mysteries and Adventures Await

You may not have known this but your clients can actually make an adventure out of their Mediterranean vacation. How? Well, on a unique MSC cruise excursion, guests can walk through secret passages in ancient Rome and follow the same path that inspired Dan Brown’s bestselling novel Angels and Demons.

Come on! When was the last time you heard your clients tell you that they uncovered hidden treasures during a thrilling scavenger hunt through the Vatican — of all places? It’s a really cool excursion that takes guests back in time in hopes of unlocking this major mystery of ancient Rome. It’s awesome! And who knows… your client just may be the one who rescues the Cardinals and saves the Eternal City from impending doom…according to Dan Brown, of course.

My favorite Shore Excursion in the Mediterranean: The Angels & Demons Tour at the historical sites of Rome - Guests are taken on a mission to uncover hidden passages throughout the Vatican and unlock the clues and mysteries linked to the works of Bernini. – hosted onboard MSC Divina.

The Incredible Value and Great Cruise Deals to the Mediterranean

Right now, there are cruise ships boasting an unforgettable journey through the Mediterranean but only a few provide a richer and more authentic travel experience at a great value.

In fact, MSC Divina sets sail this summer from Barcelona through Italy then over to Cannes on the way to Spain and back; all at an unbeatable price. It even includes a two-night hotel stay in Barcelona. You really can’t beat that.

So when your clients ask you for that one-of-a-kind vacation that would surely give them more bang for their buck…You can now say to them, “Well, I know three reasons why a truly authentic summer cruise to the Mediterranean will absolutely blow your mind.”

Currently, MSC is offering an exclusive deal on a Mediterranean sailing onboard the MSC Divina – a 10-Night Mediterranean from Barcelona only $1999 per person (including flight, hotel, cruise and transfers).
