Top 5 Reasons to Visit Europe This Winter

Think about your dream winter vacation: Snow cascading onto rolling hills and castles, Christmas lights illuminating the streets while enjoying mulled wine at a local café, listening to the sounds of choirs while walking through the Christmas markets, and finding perfect one-of-a-kind presents to place under the Christmas tree. If that isn’t enough, here are even more reasons why Europe is the perfect winter destination:

Chill with Mona. With fewer travelers come fewer crowds. Traveling in the winter allows you the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the culture with more space in museums, among the ruins and down cobblestone streets.

More Bang for Your Euro. The sights aren’t the only things won’t be the only things that look different in Europe this winter. Everything from transportation and dining to shopping and sightseeing come at a better value. Traveling in the winter means plenty of discounts and deals.

Skip the Mall. Bring home unique crafts, toys and goodies from centuries-old Christmas markets. Your friends and family will be dying to open your gifts this holiday. An added bonus? No need to visit the dreaded mall.

Local Legends. Get to know the cherished traditions of the locals, from the locals. Enjoy a beer with Beppe, not Bob because the locals typically aren’t traveling during this time of year.

Glühwein! If the snow-dusted castles and cathedrals of Europe don’t warm your heart, this German-spiced mulled wine will. There isn’t a better time, or place, to consume this winter beverage.

Instead of debating which family member will get to host the holidays this year, decide on Europe this winter. They’d love to host!
