Top 5 Reasons Why Veterans Love MSC Cruises

Top 5 Reasons Why Veterans Love MSC Cruises

From our great military cruise discounts to our new redeployment policy, it’s no surprise that MSC Cruises is the preferred cruise company for the military.

We love veterans and have the utmost respect and appreciation for their brave service to this country.  As a family-owned cruise line, we understand how important families are to all military personnel. We know that sometimes an awesome cruise vacation is just what is needed to get everyone all together.

So, we decided to go above the industry norm and make it easier than ever for members of the military and their families to cruise the world. This Veterans Day, as we celebrate and honor the veterans who continue to make a tremendous impact within their communities, we’ve compiled the top 5 reasons why veterans simply love MSC.

    1. Discounts, discounts and more discounts

MSC Cruises offers extraordinary discounts on select sailings exclusively for all retired and active U.S. & Canadian military personnel. Veterans and their families can enjoy an exclusive 5 percent discount when they book an interior or an ocean view stateroom.  And to sweeten the deal, MSC Cruises added an exclusive 10 percent discount for balcony stateroom and MSC Yacht Club 1 bookings. It gets even better. Most of our special promotions can be combined with the military discounts allowing veterans to save even more money cruising with MSC.

    2. Perks for the whole family

We’ve talked discounts for veterans but what about their entire family? Well, we’ve got them covered too. Although uncommon in the cruise industry, MSC Cruises wanted to do something extra special for veterans. We extended our military discount policy so that veterans can now apply their discount to multiple staterooms, not just the one they’re in. To make it even better, if the family member who is in the military does not sail, MSC Cruises will still honor the military discount especially for their spouses, their parents, their in-laws and their dependent children. Incredible, right? We told you we love veterans!

    3. ZERO penalties for redeployment - 100 percent future cruise credit applied

MSC Cruises believes in zero penalties for veterans who are facing redeployment. That’s right…zero! Why should veterans have to endure yet another hardship especially for an unforeseen circumstance? MSC Cruises wants to make the transition to redeployment a little bit easier for the families so we removed the need for unnecessary paperwork and red tape. As a veteran, all you have to do is cancel 15 days prior to the cruise departure. We will issue a future cruise credit that will be good for two years from cancellation.

    4. Kids cruise for free

We asked ourselves, “What could make our policies even better for military families?” And voila! The answer hit us. On top of everything, we let kids sail free.  So when a military couple books a cruise with MSC, their children 11 years old and younger can cruise for free as third and fourth guests. And kids simply adore their MSC cruise experience, with so many attractions onboard, including partnerships with Lego and clubs for all ages. We even make cruising simpler for military families traveling with small children. We’ve partnered with Chicco, the largest baby brand in all of Europe, to provide a wide selection of FREE baby essentials including bottle warmers, strollers, bouncing chairs and more. And it’s all free!

    5. The MSC onboard experience is AMAZING!

From sailing to the impressive fjords of Norway to exploring the charming cobblestone streets of Le Havre, veterans can cruise to over 190 destinations in 73 countries worldwide aboard one of MSC Cruises’ 12 fascinating ships. And the ships are gorgeous; each one beautifully designed and decorated by master architects to deliver a superior cruise experience. The onboard dining produces the finest foods that are freshly prepared 20 hours a day. The entertainment is spectacular with impressive Broadway and Las Vegas-style theatrical performances, live music and dance-till-dawn nightlife and so much more. There’s even a wide array of sports and gym amenities including a panoramic state-of-the-art gym with Technogym cardio, Aqua Cycling and strength training equipment, plus yoga and dance classes. The MSC Aurea Spa is the perfect escape for an exotic spa treatment designed exclusively for MSC guests.

We wish all Veterans and members of the armed forces a very Happy Veterans Day. We can’t wait to welcome you all on board.
