Palazzo Sasso in Ravello, Italy, appointed Lillian Aviles director of sales in North America. Aviles previously founded her own marketing and public relations company, Voyage PR, dedicated to the travel industry. Prior to Voyage PR, Aviles worked as the director of destination marketing and sales at JDB Fine Hotels & Resorts for seven years.

In her new position, Aviles will lead all sales and marketing efforts to promote Palazzo Sasso as a premier vacation, honeymoon, conference and special event destination. Aviles will be based in the Washington, D.C. area. Aviles received her bachelor’s degree in European cultural studies and philosophy from The American University of Paris. She also attended Johns Hopkins University’s Specialized International Business & Marketing Program.

Palazzo Sasso is a five-star hotel on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. It was built during the 12th century as a palace for royalty. It opened as a hotel following World War II but closed during the 1970s. The hotel reopened in July 1997, following a $20 million renewal. The hotel has 32 rooms and 11 suites and boasts a staff to guest ratio of two employees per room.
