SeaDream Yacht Club Celebrates 10 Years in Business

September 01, 2011 10:02 PM

SeaDream Yacht Club this month celebrates 10 years in business. Since 2001, SeaDream has been providing yachting holidays with an emphasis on highly personalized service. “We started out 10 years ago right after the September 11th attack. Travel came to a halt but our team’s energy and dedication wouldn’t be deterred,” said SeaDream President Bob Lepisto. “We are all very proud of our accomplishment and grateful to our guests, devoted employees and travel agent partners who collectively drive our success.”

SeaDream was founded in 2001 by Norwegian entrepreneur Atle Brynestad, who is the company’s owner and chairman. He had founded Seabourn Cruise Line in 1987 and was its chairman for 10 years as well as CEO during the initial years. In 1999, two Cunard ships named Sea Goddess I and Sea Goddess II were transferred into the Seabourn fleet and renamed Seabourn Goddess I and Seabourn Goddess II. In 2001, Brynestad purchased these twin vessels from Carnival (Seabourn’s parent company), renamed them and renovated them.

“During September we’ll be celebrating onboard with 10th anniversary themed parties and decadent dessert extravaganzas,” said Erling Frydenberg, SeaDream’s vice president of hotel operations. “We also have a few other surprises in store for our guests, all in the spirit of our 10th anniversary.” For more information, call 800-707-4911 or visit www.SeaDream.com.
