Singapore Airlines, SilkAir to Adopt New Reservations System
Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will be undergoing a transition to a new reservations system on July 8. During the transition, all SIA and SilkAir flights are due to operate as scheduled. However, booking, reservation and ticketing services through singaporeair.com, silkair.com, call centers, service centers and travel agents, as well as KrisFlyer-related transactions and online/mobile functions such as SMS alerts, will not be available from 6 p.m. on July 7 Singapore local time (6 a.m. ET). These services are expected to progressively resume from 10 p.m. on July 8 (10 a.m. ET).
Internet, mobile and early check-in will not be available for all flights departing on July 8 and 9, Singapore local time. Customers should bring a printed copy of their electronic ticket to the airport for check-in. Counters will open three hours before the scheduled time of departure for SIA flights and two hours before departure for SilkAir flights.
