Following the company’s May announcement of a new property in Lake Tai, Suzhou, China, Singapore-based luxury hotel brand Solís Hotels & Resorts announced the development of Solís Guangzhou, the company’s third property under construction in China this year. The riverside hotel will offer 260 guestrooms and suites, meeting and exhibition space and a full complement of amenities when it opens in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Solís Guangzhou will be the only hotel on the Pearl River with its own jetty and docks. Hotel cruisers will ferry guests along the waterway to destinations including the Canton Fair. Other features of the property will include a cultural center, restaurant and library in addition to a spa, fitness center and executive club lounge. A rooftop infinity pool and sky lounge will offer views. The hotel’s four restaurants include an all-day restaurant, a fine dining Chinese restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a riverside café.

Situated in Guangzhou’s thriving commercial area, Solís Guangzhou is part of a mixed-use project that also includes 48 fully-serviced residences and commercial offices strategically located near the city’s historic shopping and tourist district of Liwan. Solís Guangzhou will attract groups and exhibitions with 1,780 square meters of luxury meeting and banquet space, including a grand ballroom that will seat up to 350 people, a VIP stateroom and VIP private banquet room. Additional gathering areas include a large function lobby and the Cultural Center. The project is a partnership between Solís Hotels & Resorts and owner Jiachuang Investment Group, a Guangzhou-based hotel, commercial and retail real estate development company.
