Southwest Names Stedke as Vice President of Technical Services
Southwest Airlines has named Trevor Stedke vice president of technical services. In this position, Stedke will provide leadership for engineering services and standards, quality, maintenance safety, powerplant and aircraft programs.
Stedke joins Southwest from Federal Express, where he served for 15 years in a number of posts culminating in his role as the managing director of aircraft engineering planning and performance. His areas of responsibility at FedEx included Aircraft Engineering; Aircraft Maintenance Programs; Propulsion Engineering; Air Operations Technology; Engineering Planning; Aircraft Reliability; Air Operations Standards, Analysis, and Controls; Engineering Support; and Airline Fleet Management (Fleet Teams). Stedke succeeds the previous Vice President of Technical Services, who left the company earlier this year. Stedke begins his position at Southwest Airlines on June 20.
