Spirit Airlines is expanding operations from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with service to four more cities. On June 21 Spirit began its first international flight from DFW with daily nonstop service to Toluca/Mexico City, and also starts daily nonstop service to Detroit, San Diego and Portland, Oregon.

To celebrate, Spirit is offering fares from $38.79 (one way), which is a $9 base fare plus taxes and fees, between Dallas/Fort Worth and Detroit, San Diego and Portland, Ore., available June 21 and 22 at www.spirit.com, and fares from $65.41 – $77.78 (one way), which is a $1 base fare plus taxes and fees, between Dallas/Fort Worth and Toluca/Mexico City.

Since starting operations at DFW in May of 2011, Spirit has continued to grow its operations and today offers nonstop service to 15 destinations from DFW, including Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, New York LaGuardia, Orlando, Phoenix/Mesa, Denver, Myrtle Beach, Tampa, Toluca/Mexico City, Detroit, San Diego and Portland, Oregon.
