Construction has begun on a new Wet’n’Wild water park in Western Sydney. The park is due to open in Prospect in December 2013 and will cost A$115 million ($121 million) to build. It will feature 42 slides and attractions, including a surf pool and a wave pool. Owners Village Road Show Limited anticipate that Wet’n’Wild Sydney will attract 900,000 visitors a year, including 20 percent from overseas and interstate, and generate more than A$500 million ($526 million) for the NSW economy in its first 10 years of operation.
