Tanzaniahas the largest chapter in the eighth edition of Mark Nolting’s “Africa’s Top Wildlife Countries,” a book that catalogs the essential components of safaris throughout Africa. The new edition is available through retailers such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble.
Besides authoring the perennial safari guide, Nolting is also founder of the Africa Adventure Company. “Tanzania is featured as the biggest section in the new edition of ‘Africa’s Top Wildlife Countries’ and is the perfect place to go for a safari all year round,” Nolting said. “Tanzania offers some of the best game viewing on the continent with 15 national parks throughout the country.”
Nolting points out that Tanzania is the home of the Great Migration in the Serengeti. “And now that there are several high quality camps near the Mara River in the extreme northern Serengeti, we are sending more and more guests there to view the Great Serengeti Migration in the July-November period,” he said. “Therefore, there is a very good chance that the entire migration may be seen in the Serengeti 12 months of the year.”
The new edition of the guide book has seven charts, covering a variety of material from expected temperatures to best wildlife viewing destinations. It also includes many detailed maps and photographs of animals and lodges.
“We are honored to be featured so prominently in Mark Nolting’s latest edition of ‘Africa’s Top Wildlife Countries,’” said Dr. Aloyce Nzuki, managing director of the Tanzania Tourist Board. “The addition of charts clearly shows that Tanzania is an all-year-round destination for game viewing with a diverse range of experiences from the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in the North to Ruaha National Park and the Selous Game Reserve in the South.”
