Tofino Expeditions Offers Discount On Brazil Sea Kayaking Adventure
Tofino Expeditions, a sea kayaking company, is offering a $1,000 discount on the Oct. 18 to 27 departure of its Brazil sea kayaking adventure, which made National Geographic Traveler’s list of “50 Tours Of A Lifetime.” The trip explores Brazil’s southern coast with kayaking and cultural exploration.
The tour includes kayaking along the Costa Verde, a rainforest bordered by warm water that is protected from the open Atlantic by Ilha Grande, or the Big Island. The area includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Paraty and the Ecological Reserves of Juatinga and Cairucu. The tour starts with an exploration of Rio de Janeiro and includes a visit to the restored colonial town of Paraty, once the terminus of the Caminho do Ouro (Gold Road) and Saco de Mamangua, Brazil’s tropical fjord located along a stretch of tropical coastline dotted with tiny fishing villages and beaches.
Participants will have a chance to try stand-up paddle boards, which are a traditional Hawaiian variation on surfing that uses a large canoe-like paddle. The price after discount starts at $3,690 per person.
