Travel Impressions Launches Social U. Media Webinars

Travel Impressions attracted more than 2,300 travel agents over three days to its quarterly Social U. by Travel Impressions social media webinars. The webinars pledged to provide agents with "60 Tips in 60 Minutes" for utilizing social media to enhance sales and improve their relationships with clients.
The Social U. by Travel Impressions webinars were created by Susan Black, executive vice president for Travel Impressions and social media enthusiast. The educational program is broken into three categories -- beginner, intermediate and advanced. The webinars can still be accessed at Travel Impressions Facebook page.
Some of this month’s tips include the top four types of content guaranteed to promote customer engagement on your Facebook page, how to use Twitter to get your local newspaper business and travel writers to include your agency in their articles, how to select and post amazing photos for your Facebook Timeline, how to get your customers to post their vacation photos on your Facebook page and on Twitter, how to share destinations and hotels you love with the Pinterest travel community, seven examples of how to measure success on social media, and how to create Facebook Custom Tabs featuring rave reviews about your agency that helps reel in new customers.
“Through these webinars, we aim to engage travel agents in the technologies and applications that are available to them,” said Steve Gorga, president and CEO of Travel Impressions. “Travel Impressions can only be sold through our travel agent partners, and our webinars are designed to help them generate more new marketing ideas and, in turn, more sales. We hope agents will continue to embrace these learning opportunities and take advantage of the knowledge our experts offer.”
Travel agents who participated in the Social U. webinars were entered into a contest for a chance to win one of two trips to Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas or any Couples resort in Jamaica by “liking” Travel Impressions’ Facebook page. The 2,300 agents who participated were also able to earn a $25 booking bonus during the week of the webinars. Travel Impressions has scheduled the next Social U. free webinar -- “Best Bang for Your Buck: 42 Ways to Save Money, Save Time, and Drive More Sales” -- for Thursday, June 28 at 1 p.m.
