Travelocity Creates New App for Amazon’s New Kindle Fire

September 05, 2012 10:27 PM

Travelocity unveiled its free app for Amazon’s Kindle Fire to feature Mobile Exclusive Deals, in addition to flight, hotel and rental car booking capabilities. Customers can download the app and take advantage of Travelocity’s Mobile Exclusive Deals, which are priced 10 percent lower than the desktop version of the site on average.

In addition to the ability to book flights, hotels and rental cars on the Travelocity Kindle Fire app, customers will also have the ability to view trip details on a ‘My Trips’ tab on the app while online and offline. Travelocity customers have been able to access the Android app version on Kindle Fire tablets, but the new app will be specifically designed for the tablet’s seven-inch IPS display and 1024×600 resolution. The Travelocity Kindle Fire app can be downloaded at Amazon’s Kindle Store.
