The Transportation Security Administration’s Pre program, which expedites the trip through security for pre-screened travelers, is now in operation at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) -- the program’s seventh location. Select Delta Air Lines frequent flyers traveling out of MSP are now eligible to participate and may receive expedited screening for domestic travel. Delta will also allow American Airlines participants to use their frequent flyer lane at MSP to access the TSA Pre lane.

More than 250,000 passengers have been processed through the TSA Pre vetting process and have received expedited screening. TSA Pre enhances security by enabling security officers to focus on passengers the agency considers high-risk and knows less about. This screening concept is part of the agency’s ongoing initiative to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach and towards a more intelligence-driven, risk-based security approach.
