Universal Studios Hollywood to Add Harry Potter Attraction

Universal Parks and Resorts has confirmed that it has signed a deal with Warner Brothers Studios to develop “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal Studios Hollywood (USH). The attraction -- actually an entire area with several attractions based on the Harry Potter films and books -- will be a replica of the same area that opened at Universal Orlando Resort in June 2010. Groundbreaking and opening dates were not available at press time.
The USH version will be as immersive as the Orlando version, bringing the stories of Harry Potter to life. It will be faithful to the visual landscape of the films, with Hogwarts castle serving as the centerpiece.
Meanwhile, Universal Parks and Resorts and Warner Brothers also announced plans to expand “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” in Orlando, saying that details of that development will be announced over time.
