Variety Cruises launched a newly built mega-yacht, Variety Voyager, which is currently operating charters and scheduled cruises in the Adriatic. On July 14, it will begin a four-month cruise season with “Romantic Rivieras” sailings from Nice, France, and Salerno, Italy.
The 29 million euro vessel, constructed in Perama Shipyards, Greece, accommodates up to 72 passengers and a 28-member crew. The Variety Voyager is the first sea-going member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Preferred Boutique Collection.
The ship’s features include an indoor restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor restaurant area seating 36 guests, a lounge area with adjoining reception area and bar, an outdoor deck bar featuring late-night entertainment from resident pianist and DJs, a Balinese Spa with massages and sauna, an exercise area with fitness equipment, an Internet corner and library, audio/visual equipment for groups, and a marina from which to launch Zodiacs and watersports equipment.
The family-owned Variety Cruises is a boutique yacht line with a fleet of 11 fully owned vessels including mega-yachts, sail cruisers and private luxury yachts. This year it is operating in the Middle East, West Africa, Mediterranean, and the Adriatic. All Variety vessels host 12 to 75 passengers. The company was founded in 2005, with a history dating back to 1949 under the Zeus name.
