Virtual Travel Events, a division of travAlliancemedia, held a successful first day of its 2012 Vacation Agent Expo on Nov. 14. Hundreds of travel agents attended the expo to increase their knowledge on different suppliers and destinations and talk one-on-one with representatives at 18 booths

The Vacation Agent Expo also debuted its first ever Magic of Mexico floor, which featured an additional nine booths dedicated to helping agents sell the beautiful country of Mexico and its resorts. Vacation Agent Expo had two live presentations scheduled during the two-day event.  On Wednesday, Sandals held a webinar dedicated to “WeddingMoons” and provided agents with information on how to sell their properties to the very lucrative destination weddings and honeymoons market.

The second live presentation focused on “Selling River Cruises” with Viking River Cruises. This webinar was rescheduled until Thursday, Nov. 15, due to technical difficulties.
