Virtual Travel Events, a division of travAlliancemedia concluded its 2012 Vacation Agent Expo, attracting 1,200 travel agents to attend this event during a two-day period.
More than 650 travel agents were in attendance at the second day of the expo, held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The live presentation on the second day of this dynamic event focused on “How to Sell River Cruises” with Viking River Cruises. Hosted by executive editor Claudette Covey and featuring Reiner Marks, director of business development, the event attracted hundreds of travel agents, who were able to find out about the various options that Viking River Cruises offered and participate in a 15-minute Q&A session at the conclusion of the webinar. Agents asked such questions as how to book group travel, what fam trips are currently offered, food options and stateroom amenities.
Agents were once again praising the Vacation Agent Expo since it is often difficult for them to stop selling and attend a physical event for a couple of days. Here are a few comments from agents attending Day Two of the expo:
Jelka of Dream Caribbean Vacations: “These events are so great, I can't always take the time to go out of town, but I can certainly do it like this! Thanks for a great job!”
Susan Tautkus, CTC, MCC: “Thanks for a wonderful Virtual Travel Event. … It is so helpful!”
Jackline Cancro: “Thanks for the support for the home-based agents that work so hard!”
Kizzy of U-Travel Vacations: “I've really learned a lot today. Thank you travAlliancemedia for the expo.”
