Virtuoso Travel Network Offers Four Culinary Hotel Packages
The Virtuoso luxury travel network is offering a collection of culinary packages for a limited time at four Virtuoso Preview properties -- the Armani Hotel in Milano, Italy; the Castello di Casole, Italy; the Mandarin Oriental, Paris; and the St. Regis Bal Harbour, Fla.
The “Romantic Experience” at the Armani Hotel includes daily American breakfast, a welcome gift, two 50-minute massages at the Armani/Spa, a pre-dinner cocktail at the Armani/Lounge, and a romantic dinner at the Armani/Ristorante with wine pairings. This package is valid through Dec. 31 and starts at a nightly room rate of 1,261 euros ($1,517) per couple.
The “Divine Flavors” package at the Castello di Casole, which opens in July, features a one-bedroom suite, a cookery class for two and wine pairing with a private chef and sommelier, a vineyard experience with lunch, a chef’s tasting dinner for two at Ristorante Tosca with wine pairings, a tasting of estate grown and produced olive oil, and buffet breakfast daily. The package starts at 800 euros ($1,018) per night, per couple, based on a five-night stay, and is valid through Dec. 31.
The Mandarin Oriental, Paris’ “A Gourmet Experience” package includes a nine-course tasting menu for two at Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx for lunch or dinner (the restaurant will be closed for the month of August) and daily breakfast for two from 1,439 euros ($1,831) per night, per couple, through Dec. 30, 2012.
At the St. Regis Bal Harbour, the “Bespoke Culinary Escape” includes breakfast for two in Atlántico restaurant; a wine-paired tasting menu in the J&G Grill; a nightly champagne sabering ritual in the St. Regis Bar, followed by a private wine tasting and cheese pairing with the sommelier in the wine vault; a one-hour, private pastry class with Antonio Bachour, one of the top 10 pastry chefs in the United States; and a poolside Oasis Cabana with butler service, fruits and choice of water. Based on availability, the package is priced from a nightly room rate of $1,049 per couple through Nov. 30.
