Westin Snowmass Resort & Conference Center Set to Open Nov. 15
The Westin Snowmass Resort and the Wildwood Snowmass resorts are on schedule to complete a new resort and conference center that will open Nov. 15, 2012. Both properties are currently accepting reservations for arrivals beginning Dec. 13, 2012.
The Westin Snowmass Resort, formerly The Silvertree, will feature the full suite of Westin signature amenities. The property includes 254 rooms and 17 suites with slopeside views. The resort’s brand new 237-seat restaurant, the Snowmass Kitchen, will offer all-day dining with easy ski-in/ski-out access. A first-class spa facility and a brand-new WestinWORKOUT fitness center will overlook Snowmass Village. The resort’s upper pool will be redeveloped into a landscaped space ideally suited for outdoor events, and the lower pool will be rebuilt to include two spacious hot tubs.
Located adjacent to the Westin is the new Wildwood Snowmass, formerly the Wildwood Lodge, featuring 153 completely renovated rooms including six themed suites. The Wildwood Canteen, a new 90-seat restaurant, replaces the existing Village Steakhouse and will serve breakfast daily. The New Belgium Bar at Wildwood will be a New Belgium Brewing-themed bar with an eclectic menu and a hip, fun atmosphere. The Wildwood’s pool area will be totally overhauled and complemented by a retro poolside snack shack. American fashion designer Steven Alan is designing key elements of the Wildwood’s soft goods, including hotel accessories, staff uniforms and retail merchandise.
Also part of the Westin/Wildwood construction project is the New Belgium Ranger Station, located on the Snowmass Mall, just steps from the slopes. The pub will serve a lunch and dinner menu developed by The Westin Snowmass Resort and new Snowmass Kitchen Chef de Cuisine, Jami Flatt. The menu will be designed to pair with New Belgium’s signature beers and seasonal craft brews.
While construction of the two properties is well under way, renovations to the new Westin Snowmass Conference Center are complete. The conference center offers 18,100 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space in one of the country’s premier mountain resorts. Upgrades to the conference center in Snowmass include a completely new lighting system, new carpeting, wall coverings, a new audiovisual system, exterior paint, new ceiling tile and signage.
