World’s Tallest St. Regis Hotel to Open in Shenzhen, China

With a new Florida property set to debut later this month, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., will open the St. Regis Shenzhen, the world’s tallest St. Regis hotel and the tallest building in the city. Following recent openings in Bangkok, Tianjin and Sanya Yalong Bay, the St. Regis Shenzhen marks the brand’s fourth hotel opening in Asia in the last six months with additional plans to debut globally with the St. Regis Doha, the St. Regis Abu Dhabi, the St. Regis Mauritius Resort, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and the newly renovated St. Regis Aspen Resort in the next six months.
The St. Regis Shenzhen will occupy the top 28 floors of the 100-story landmark Kingkey 100 building, and will offer 257 guest rooms, 40 suites, an Iridium Spa, and a collection of restaurants and lounges, including the St. Regis Bar and the Drawing Room on the 96th floor. On the 95th floor, Social offers all-day dining and Elba, on the 99th floor, offers Mediterranean dining and fine wines. Decanter, on the 100th floor, is a wine bar offering Shenzhen’s largest selection of wines and a private tasting room for small gatherings. The penthouse level houses Malt and Library, a unique whisky and cigar bar featuring an extensive menu of single malts served with Cuban cigars and never-ending views. The hotel offers 2,100 square meters of meeting and function space, including a ballroom and eight separate event rooms with versatile layouts.
