It’s About The Climb
Heard the saying “it’s not about the destination, it’s the climb”? Well, the best part about Denmark is it’s actually about the view, too.
Climb an enormous tower with a spiral ramp and once at the top, you’ll have a magnificent view of the whole of Zealand from the Forest Tower.
Our position above the treetops made us feel like giants.
Take A Selfie With A Giant
We all love taking selfies while on vacation, but the quest for the ultimate selfie spot is an ongoing one. So be different and take a selfie with a giant.
On the west Coast near Esbjerg, we came across these imposing monuments. Named “Man Meets the Sea”, they are the brainchild of Svend Wiig Hansen.
You may have to wait a moment to get an audience with one of the giants, but it’ll be well worth it. Fortunately, they’re not camera-shy.
Your Own Little Danish Island
Here’s an island getaway experience with a difference, and you don’t even have to go traveling further than Copenhagen harbor.
This is one of the simplest and most fun things to do in Copenhagen. Rent a small boat and explore the harbor. Then moor it to one of the specially created miniature “islands” before enjoying a picnic lunch, or just laying back to birdwatch.
Walk The Bridge
If heights don’t bother you and you enjoy getting some exercise, walking the bridge is your ideal Danish vacation activity.
The Old Lillebælt Bridge is a granite construction, slowly becoming overgrown with marine life. You’ll enjoy spectacular views here, with great photo opportunities. And of course, lots of clean, fresh air.
