See Bend Of The Boyne

This megalithic site predates the Egyptian pyramids and is one of the gems that Ireland has to offer.

It is regarded as a world heritage site and features various tombs, stones, henges, and grave passes that are arranged in an incredibly intelligent way.

According to experts, this site holds the largest and most important concentration of megalithic art, including more than 90 Neolithic monuments.

We recommend visiting the site during the winter solstice to observe a beam of light that travels along the Newgrange passage tomb at the site.

Visit Killarney National Park

Killarney national park provides an authentic outdoor experience.

Here, you can observe over a hundred bird species and gaze at red deer grazing. The park also boasts an impressive collection of gardens, waterways, and mountain ranges.

For the full Irish experience, we recommend fishing for trout or salmon at the Lower Lake.

Taste Beer At The Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is known for its architectural design which features a seven-story atrium representing a large pint of Guinness.

When visiting the storehouse, you will learn more about the process of making this special brew and the lost art of barrel making.

Our highlight was enjoying an ice-cold pint at the top story while taking in a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Take A Tour At The Little Museum of Dublin

The Little Museum of Dublin is famous for its 29-minute tours, which tell the story of Dublin through the art of Irish storytelling.

This small museum offers a rich history in an entertaining manner and provides an opportunity to learn and experience an authentic taste of Dublin.

This experience offers “history, humor, and hospitality” and we can definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the capital city.

Hike The Burren

The Burren is a landscape that derives its name from the Gaelic word “Boirrean”, which translates to “rocky place”.

This landscape offers 45km of various walking trails and is characterized by unique rock formations and interesting species of various fauna and flora.

We suggest visiting between April and October. During this period, you’ll be greeted with colorful flowers that grow out of the rocky formations.

Drive Along The Wild Atlantic Way

This is a must-do for anyone experiencing Ireland in a car. The Wild Atlantic Way runs along the west coast of Ireland and provides a stunning view of the coastlines for anyone driving along this trail.

The trail starts from Malin Head in County Donegal and ends in Kinsale in County Cork and spans 2400 km.

Luckily, the route also has a variety of viewpoints where you can stop to rest or soak up the beautiful view.

Kiss The Blarney Stone

About five miles outside of Cork, you will find the Blarney Stone.

This block of Carboniferous limestone is part of Blarney castle and it is believed that kissing the stone will endow you with the power of flattery.

We can’t vouch for the benefits of kissing the stone (yet) but this is definitely one for the bucket list. And what do you have to lose?
