For outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, Costa Rica is an incredible choice and it has gained popularity among eco-tourists on account of its uniquely rich biodiversity. In fact, more than 25 percent of this politically stable Central American country consists of national parks and protected areas. Costa Rica's landscapes include, not only sprawling rainforests, but also impressive volcanoes, mountains, lakes, rivers and spectacular beaches. Visitors to the capital city of San Jose will find plenty of historic sites, museums, parks and a National Theater.
