Top Hotels and Resorts Opening in 2022

It's the time of year when we're all ready to put the past behind us and start looking forward to the year to come. That includes all of the awesome resorts and hotels expected to open in 2022! The Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa will open in early 2022 and is expected to draw a big crowd due to the Mexican island's newfound popularity. The new all-inclusive also marks the brand's first property on the island. The Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen is expected to open February 11, 2022. It'll feature 485 suites, seven pools and ten dining venues within Corasol, a gated residential community in Playa del Carmen. Secrets Impression Moxché Playa del Carmen will offer 198 suites and private beachfront villas, set to open on February 25, 2022.

Hard Rock will open its futuristic new hotel in New York City, New York next April. It will serve as the brand's flagship hotel and is located near music monuments like Radio City Music Hall, Broadway and Rockefeller Center.

Dubai's newest resort, Atlantis The Royal, will feature almost 800 rooms across 43 floors, seventeen dining options, a sky pool and wellness program. It's opening sometime in the third quarter of 2022.

One Hundred Shoreditch will open in February of 2022 in the trendy London neighborhood of Shoreditch. A hotel developed by Lore Group, the hotel will offer travelers a calming haven to return to during their trip to London.

The only five-star resort in Mozambique, The Banyan Tree Ilha Caldeira is located on the private island of Ilha Caldeira, where guests can enjoy the secluded oasis, part of Africa's largest marine reserve. The resort will open in December of next year.

Hilton is expected to open an incredible 22 different hotels and resorts in the coming year! The Madrona is a boutique hotel and restaurant located in Healdsburg, California. Opening in spring of 2022, this historic Victorian-era mansion has been renovated and restored to bring eight acres of private bungalows, decadent suites and beautiful gardens.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts will also be celebrating several new resort openings in 2022, including Sommerro in Oslo; Pendry Park City in Utah; Passalacqua in Lake Como; The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong; sky Berlin in Germany; The Wall Street Hotel in New York City; Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences in The Palm Beaches, Florida; Toa Resort & Hotel in Zanzibar, Tanzania; and the Pendry Washington, D.C.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is expected to introduce four new resorts in the U.S. and Mexico next year. They are as follows: Four Seasons Resort, Tamarindo in Mexico; Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale; Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville and the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis.

Auberge Resorts Collection will be celebrating five new resort openings in 2022. They are the Stanly Ranch in Napa Valley, California; Etéreo at Kanai in Riviera Maya, Mexico; Susurros del Corazón in Punta de Mita, Mexico; The Inn at Mattei's Tavern in Los Olivos, California; and Wildflower Farms in Hudson Valley, New York.

The Sandals Royal Curaçao will open on April 14, 2022 with 350 rooms and suites, including seaside bungalows with private pools. Additionally, the Sandals Royal Bahamian and the Sandals Dunn's River will also reopen in 2022 after undergoing extensive renovations during the pandemic.

Hyatt will open several new properties in 2022, including the Alila Balit Bay in Borneo, Malaysia; the Park Hyatt Jakarta in Indonesia; the Hyatt Centric Old Montreal in Canada and The Thompson Austin in Texas, plus many more.

Marriott International announced that its eight luxury hotel and resort brands will be expanding by more than 30 hotels across the globe in 2022; the largest number of expansions yet announced by a hotel corporation for next year. Notable openings include new properties in South Korea, Egypt, Georgia, Spain and more. The number doesn't include Marriott's non-luxury hotel and resort openings, like the LaSalle Hotel, Autograph Collection in Chicago, the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah in Dubai or the Sheraton Xi'an South.
