Carnival Cruise Line has announced the addition of several new enhancements to the company's travel agent Internet portal, dubbed Onboard with You.
The improvements and additions to Onboard with You include the streamlining of the booking process in order to reduce the number of steps and increase the speed in which agents purchase tickets.
Another intriguing addition to the booking platform is the new "nearby stateroom search" feature which will allow travel agents to search for multi-category staterooms that are located within close proximity.
The entire Onboard with You upgrade will be presented in an accordion-style window in order to guide agents throughout each step of the booking process. Included in this step-by-step process are guest information entry, rate selection, up sell options and stateroom category availability.

In addition, there will be a "specialty cruise" column with videos describing the program, a new "select and add more staterooms" which allows agents to book multiple staterooms without having to re-enter search criteria and an expanded "stateroom information screen" that shows agents an overview of the selected stateroom.
"We're excited to take these important time-saving ideas that we received from travel agents and apply them to this latest round of enhancements to GoCCL.com, making it more intuitive and user friendly," Carnival vice president Adolfo Pérez said in a statement. "These enhancements to our booking engine make the booking process even easier and more efficient for our valued travel agent partners. Providing agents with better tools to transact business gives them more time to focus on their real passion of selling cruise vacations."
